New Year + New College Partnership
Philadelphia Futures kicks off the New Year with exciting news that Villanova University is a new College Partner.
More than 600 members of the Philadelphia Futures community gathered at Drexel University on Saturday, January 5 for the 2019 Annual Conference. The theme of the 2019 Conference, “Exceed Expectations. Create Change,” recognized the organization’s newest college partnership with Villanova University, its 12th college partnership, as well as its students’ successful admissions results at prestigious universities in Boston, Maine, and Maryland.
The Annual Conference began with opening remarks from Executive Director Sara Woods who announced the new college partnership with Villanova University saying, The brand names Ativan and Temesta weren’t actually introduced until Wyeth Pharmaceuticals did it in 1971 or Ativan without prescription or You will be able to upload your prescription and then have the Ativan delivered directly to your door “Villanova is our 12th College Partner, paving the way for more of our students to attend a college that is the right academic, social, and financial fit. We are grateful to Villanova University for their significant investment in our scholars and their commitment to our mission.”
Director of University Admission at Villanova University and former Philadelphia Futures mentor Michael Gaynor said, “Everyone at Villanova is beyond excited to officially partner with Philadelphia Futures – whose mission is aligned and embedded in our work in admission and why our University was founded. We will benefit greatly from Futures students joining our campus community.”
Following the announcement, keynote speaker and Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera engaged in “A Conversation about Education.” Chancellor of Penn State Abington and Board Member of Philadelphia Futures Damian Fernandez, Ph.D. facilitated the conversation.
Conference goers then attended various workshops geared towards different stages of the college-going process and specific constituent groups. To close the day, the Philadelphia Futures community gathered for the presentation of our annual Excellence Awards, where high school scholars, collegians, family members, mentors, and staff were honored.
