Philadelphia Futures brings college guidance expertise to students, parents, and educators throughout the city of Philadelphia.

Recommend a Student

Help a student learn more about the programs available through Philadelphia Futures. Educators and community members can recommend students for eligible program options, as well as reach out for more information through workshops or resources in academic settings.

Outreach and Engagement

Philadelphia Futures’ Outreach and Engagement division brings the organization’s expertise in supporting the college aspirations of first-generation-to-college students to the broader community through customized programming, workshops, and the Step Up to College resources.

The Outreach and Engagement department coordinates admission to Philadelphia Futures’ direct service programs. The recruitment process for Sponsor-A-Scholar (SAS) begins with targeted outreach in middle school, and for College Connection in 10th grade. Each year, we seek to admit 50 new scholars into the SAS and College Connection programs respectively.

Apply to a Program

Current Philadelphia high school students can apply to the Sponsor a Scholar and College Connection programs, which offer financial aid and supportive guidance. Find program requirements, submission deadlines, and more before submitting an application.
